ORANGE – THE PLANT
Scientific name: Citrus Sinensis. Description: Fruit-bearing tree, evergreen, of the Rutidae family. Origin: China and India. History: Portuguese sailors brought it to Europe around the middle of the 15th century AD and its cultivation was very warmly accepted by many countries.
ORANGE – THE “ORGANIC” ESSENTIAL OIL
Technique: Extracted from the bark of the fruit of the tree, by steam distillation. The company "Biologos" uses excellent quality Greek oranges from Laconia. Composition: With Sesquiterpene content: mainly d-limonene (very high content), a component that gives the oil its famous immune-boosting properties. Smell: Cool, fruity, refreshing. Country of origin: Greece
PROPERTIES
Powerful detoxifier, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antioxidant, antispasmodic, tonic.
USE
Cough, cold, flu. Excellent booster of the entire immune system. Stimulates the digestive system and fights indigestion and other disorders. Positively stimulates the central nervous system, dealing with overexertion, anxiety, insomnia, inability to concentrate. Helps tired skin regain its healthy glow. Powerful insect repellent (not yet known property).
